• Solar Energy Incentives Program (rebate)
Due to the large volume of rebate applications, the state has exhausted the available funding. The Florida Legislature did not appropriate any funding during the 2010 Regular Session for the Solar Rebate Program and the program ended on June 30, 2010. Pursuant to Sections 377.801-377.806, Florida Statutes, the Governor’s Energy Office, continued to accept and process applications until June 30, 2010, placing them on a waiting list in the event there are funding opportunities in the future.

• Solar Equipment Sales Tax Exemption
Solar equipment and its requisite hardware are exempt from Florida state sales and use tax. Labor is not taxable in Florida.

• Renewable Energy Property Tax Exemption
Applicable for systems installed after January 1, 2009. This exemption is the amount of the original cost of the device, including the installation cost.
